How Do We Choose The RIGHT Foundation Colour???

“How do we know if this foundation colour suits us?” Many of us ask. Confuse over what is the right foundation colour for your skin? To begin choosing the right foundation, you must first determine if the foundation colour is used for daily wear, stage or studio. Different usage requires different types of foundation. A foundation colour used for daily wear will never be suitable at all for stage & performance use. The undertones in the foundations are completely different hence creating a different effect.

Always select the colour nearest to your skin colour. Not a lighter tone because you want to be fair and definitely not a darker tone because you fancy the tan look.

When testing the colour, always test it at the side of your jaw bone and NOT on your hand. Most make-up counter sales girls will test the foundation colours on your hand which is not the correct method because the skin tone on your hand and face is different.

Next, always check your foundation colour under bright sunlight. That is the best way to tell if the colour looks good on you or not. When you completely sure the colour looks totally natural on your face and you are unable to tell if you had any foundation on, then you have succeeded in finding the correct foundation for yourself.

Come check out our Grimas range of foundations. We have 10 different colours for liquid foundation, 44 colours for Creme Foundation and 48 colours for cake make-up foundation.
